Singing the Psalms is an opportunity to inject a bit more mystery into our liturgies.

 

These Psalm refrains are written to work with the Plainsong Psalter. The goal is to pair the atmospheric quality of the  psalm tones with singable, more current refrains.

 

The refrains can be interspersed throughout the psalm, placed two-three verses apart.

The verses are sung by a cantor, and the refrains (printed in the bulletin) are congregational.
